About Rachel
With deep in-house and private practice experience, Rachel provides employers with pragmatic, business-focused advice across the full range of labour and employment matters.
Rachel provides strategic, practical advice to employers on a wide range of labour and employment matters, including hiring, performance management, terminations, reorganizations, employment standards, human rights and accommodation, workplace investigations, workplace violence and harassment, and the development and implementation of workplace policies.
Rachel has a deep understanding of how to balance legal risk with business realities. Her pragmatic and client-centered approach is informed by her extensive experience working in-house for one of Canada’s largest private sector employers. After beginning her career at a large national law firm, Rachel spent five years working in-house for Canada’s largest retailer, where she advised the company on all aspects of employment law, labour relations, and human rights matters, and regularly represented the company in human rights proceedings, employment standards complaints, and labour arbitrations.
Outside of her practice, Rachel enjoys training for long distance road races, obsessing over new musicals, watching professional triathlon, and spending quality time with her husband and two young daughters.
