Toronto, ON — January 6, 2026 — Protea LLP is pleased to announce that Kyla Tabibzadeh has joined the firm as an Associate, bringing a strong foundation in labour, employment, and human rights law and a practical, client‑focused approach to advising employers.
Kyla represents both unionized and non‑unionized employers in the provincial and federal sectors. Her experience includes supporting clients through grievance arbitrations, wrongful and unjust dismissal proceedings, human rights applications and complaints, workplace accommodation issues, and investigations. She also assists employers with day‑to‑day workplace matters, including drafting employment and termination documentation and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Before joining Protea, Kyla practised at a leading national labour and employment firm, where she gained broad exposure to complex workplace litigation and strategic advisory work. This experience informs her grounded, solutions‑oriented approach to helping employers navigate evolving workplace challenges.
“Kyla brings a thoughtful, practical perspective to every file,” said Maneli Badii, Managing Partner at Protea LLP. “Her experience across both litigation and advisory work strengthens our ability to support employers with clarity and confidence.”
“We’re building a team defined by excellence, purpose, and modern legal practice,” added Erin Porter, Partner at Protea LLP. “Kyla’s judgment, work ethic, and client‑first mindset make her an outstanding addition to Protea.”
Protea LLP is proud to welcome Kyla as we continue to grow.
